Has any one gotten the chance to play with the LG vx9800 from Verrizon wireless? It has a built-in TTS among other cool features. I am considering it for my next phone and wanted some opinions.

I was also going to ask what a TTS is. And as I posted on a similar topic a few weeks ago, there is an e-mail list for discussions about the LGVX phones. I can't remember the address now because I dropped off the list. But if you do some looking here in the geeks are us topic and go back several weeks, you should find it.

Cool, I just got a 5200 and don't know much about it yet. Maybe I'll join that list.

And I think tts equals text to speech.

Okay, here's the address for subscribing. Use your JAWS keys to read it and pay attention to which letters are capitalized: BlindusersLGVXPhones-subscribe@yahoo.com

Hope this helps.

Well the 9800 does lose some of its access, like being able to add your own contacts and getting the phone status. The LG 4650 and 5200 you can do these things. The one good thing about the 9800 is that it will read text messages. But to find out more join the list that was mentioned before. I am a member of that list and they provide a lot of useful information, and they also have point and click manuals for the 4650 and they are also working on the 5200 if I remember correctly.
